New town to be laid down in Moscow Region

Baku-APA. A new town will be laid down in the Moscow Region on Wednesday, the regional government’s website reported, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
The town, Novoye Stupino, will be situated 70 km (43 miles) south of Moscow and is designed for 55,000 dwellers.
"Innovation energy-saving technology will be used in the town’s construction," the statement said.
"The Novoye Stupino project is called upon to satisfy the demand for low-rise affordable residential houses designed on the basis of Canadian experience of rural township construction as well as to create jobs," the statement said.
A total of 1.7 million square meters will be occupied by housing; 200,000 sq m of the area is designed for trade and services, 245,000 sq m for social facilities, 2 million sq m for an industrial park, and 2.25 million sq m for recreation areas.
The first stage of the project, developed by MR Group, will be ready in 2012.
The area where the town will be built - the Stupino District of the Moscow Region - is one of leaders in Russia in terms of attracting foreign investment.
