The results of the referendum held in Kyrgyzstan on June 27 were declared at the inauguration ceremony. According to the results of the referendum, 90 percent of the citizens supported the amendments and Roza Otunbayeva’s election as interim president.
Roza Otunbayeva is the first female president in the Central Asia. Her tenure will expire on December 31, 2011.
