29 June 2010 17:59 (UTC +04:00)
“On our side, I want to reiterate our full readiness to conduct a large scale dialogue on the normalization without any conditions. Normalization intends to return up to 500,000 Georgian refugees to their homes†- Saakashvili said at the meeting of the Security Council on Tuesday, noting that under the Georgian refugees implies ethnic Georgians Abkhaz, Armenians, Jews, Greeks, Ukrainians, Estonians and other ethnic groups who have left these territories, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
"We have no any interest in confrontation with Russia. We are ready to conduct dialogue with them, including the leadership of Russia ... We recognize them as partners in the negotiations. We want to conduct any negotiations with them taking into account the fact that Georgia should be recognized as a united, sovereign, independent country that wants to be their partner", - Saakashvili said.
However, he emphasized the importance of high-level term "illegally occupation of Georgia territory†in relation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia which appeared in the official documents of the U.S.. In particular, such a formulation is contained in an official commentary of the White House released after a meeting at Washington, last week’s U.S. and Russian Presidents.
"It is very important that such a term as "illegally occupation of Georgia territoryâ€is used at the official meetings of US and Russiaâ€, Saakashvili said.
Georgian President also told "It gives a completely new reality to our conflict".
