Uzbekistan FM: The number of Uzbek refugees came from Kyrgyzstan is 100 000

Tashkent - APA. Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry announced that sent humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan had not been delivered to the south of the country and that, aids were distributed only to the Kyrgyz, APA reports. Official Tashkent told that humanitarian aids were kept in Bishkek and according to instructions of the official circles, it had been distributed only to Kyrgyz people: “But Uzbek people are devoid of these aids”. Uzbekistan FM noted that refugees were continued to come to the country and they were supplied with tents, camp beds, food and medical appliances. Gathered near the border of the country Uzbek refugees also told media in their interview that they were not given humanitarian aids sent by foreign countries. The refuges wanted to get these aids not by Kyrgyz government but by Uzbekistan. Official Tashkent told that the number of Uzbek refugees came from Kyrgyzstan was more than 100 000. Uzbekistan refuted information on closing borders as well. Remind that, today, Kyrgyzstan’s interim government announced national mourning due to happened tragic incidents. Osh and Jalalabad unrests caused death of 179 people. More than 2000 persons were injured.
