Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh - APA. The opposition protest is already over. The opposition leaders called on their supporters to go to church and light a candle with regard to the St George day, APA reports.
Besides, the opposition leaders called on the people and all political parties to gather in Saakadze square at 17:00.
According to the opposition leaders, the peaceful protests and fight will continue permanently. They also said the Georgian people and not the government would celebrate 26 May, the day of Georgian independence.
â€˜It will be our answer to the governmentâ€™s violence. We will not put up with the violenceâ€™, the opposition leaders say.
Clash took place today between the riot police and the opposition protesters, who tried to approach the building of the Interior Ministry, where the police parade was under way.
About 10 people were injured as the protesters and riot police threw stones at each other. One of the protesters lost senses and was taken to hospital.
