Lukashenko, who had offered political asylum to the former president since the first days, said his guest was under the protection of the Belarus state.
“Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his family members were brought to Minsk with the help of Belarus intelligence agencies. I have issued an order to set up a special commission to examine my guests’ health,†he said.
