NATO Georgian diplomat arrested for spying to Russia

Tbilisi â€“ APA. Former diplomat of the Georgian representation to NATO Vakhtang Maisaya was arrested for spying to Russia, said President Mikhail Saakashvili at his meeting with the officers of the Joint Staff of the Georgian armed forces, APA reports quoting Georgia Online. Saakashvili said Maisaya, who was working at the Georgian mission in NATO headquarter in Brussels for 4 years, was enrolled by the Russian intelligence service and damaged the security of his country receiving money from Russia. Saakashvili said the former diplomat informed the Russians about the deployment of Georgian forces during the August war. â€œI donâ€™t know how the man should be a mean to work against the army of his country during the military confrontationâ€, said Saakashvili.
