Georgian opposition restarts protest actions

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. The Georgian opposition began next round of protest actions in Tbilisi, APA Georgian bureau reports. Former presidential candidate Levan Gachechiladze, leader of Democratic Movement - United Georgia Party Nino Burjanadze, leader of the Movement for United Georgia Eka Beselia, leader of Alliance for Georgia Irakly Alasania and others addressed the meeting. Burjanadze told APA they began the new phase of their struggle and expected for more people arriving from the regions.
The oppositionists said they would hold protest actions in front of presidential residence in Avalabar and Georgian Public Television. Alasania said the protesters would take actions in accordance with the Constitution, but would reply those who used force against them. The opposition sent its eight representatives to the regions of Georgia to mobilize the people for the protest actions.
