Minsk to host international conference on Technical and Vocational Education and Training and Education for Sustainable Development

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva â€“ APA. Education Ministers of CIS countries will attend the international conference on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Minsk on May 14-16. APA reports quoting UNESCO Moscow Office that the organizer of the conference is the government of Belarus. Among the expected participants to the Conference are Ministers of Education of the CIS countries, Estonia, Finland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. Along with the Ministers of Education, the Conference is expected to bring together heads of TVET departments and divisions of the Ministries of Education, directors and rectors of vocational education development institutes; educational policy makers and authorities; representatives of the CIS Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO), the CIS Statistics Committee, the CIS Executive Secretariat; experts from the ETF, the World Bank, the International Labor Organization, UNESCO Headquarters, the UNESCO Moscow Office, UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), IBE, UNESCO-UNEVOC, National Coordinators of the CIS UNEVOC Network and others.
