Irakli Alasania: â€œThe opposition is ready for talksâ€

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh â€“ APA. Leaders of Georgian opposition and special representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Peter Semneby held a closed meeting on the theme â€œOngoing processes in the country, their expansion and resultsâ€ in Tbilisi Mariott hotel, APAâ€™s Georgia bureau reports.
They discussed the European Unionâ€™s assessing the two-day rallies and organizing meeting of President Mikhail Saakashvili and opposition leaders on television. Organizers of April 9 rally Levan Gachechiladze, Irakli Alasania, Kakha Kukava and Eka Beseliya attended the meeting.
Following the meeting, leader of Alliance for Georgia Alasania told journalists that the opposition was ready for talks.
â€œIf we have live open dialogue with Saakashvili on television, it will show that the opposition does not deviate from real talks,â€ he said.
â€œWe agree to the dialogue on the condition that Mikhail Saakashvili personally sits for talks with the opposition leaders and the talks are lively broadcasted on the television,â€ Alasania said at the rally.
