E-trade on foreign currencies on BICEX amounts to over $39 mln

Baku. Parviz Nuriyev - APA-Economics. According to outcomes of June, 2014, 6 banks participated in the auctions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX).

APA-Economics reports that 17 deals were closed at 38 trading sessions held on the BEST (Bourse E-system of Trades).

The total volume of the trades on USD/AZN instrument amounted to $50199 million or AZN 39.372 mln.

Compared to May, the volume of currency sector rose AZN 13.8 mln or 54%.

Average daily turnover on BEST USD/AZN was $ 2.642mln., while the value per deal made $ 2.953 million on average.

Exchange rate of manat against USD on USD/AZN_TOD instrument remained unchanged at AZN 0.7829. Average exchange rate of national currency against USD made AZN 0.7843 in June.

In the interbank credit market functioning in the framework of BEST, BakiBOR index counted in line with requests made by market makers constituted 10.48% in manats and 10.84% in USD on 90-day instrument.
