E-trade on foreign currencies on BICEX amounts to over $28 mln

Baku. Parviz Nuriyev - APA-Economics. According to outcomes of April, 2014, 7 banks participated in the auctions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX).

7 banks participated in the auctions on USD/AZN_TOD instrument in the currency on Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX)

APA-Economics reports that 22 deals were closed at 44 trading sessions held on the BEST (Bourse E-system of Trades).

The total volume of the trades on USD/AZN instrument amounted to $35.694 million or AZN 27.984 mln.

Compared to March, the volume of currency sector rose AZN 3.691 mln or 15%.

Average daily turnover on BEST USD/AZN was $ 1.622 mln., while the value per deal made $ 1.622 million on average.

Total turnover on EUR/AZN instrument made AZN 116,910 and average exchange rate of Euro made AZN 1.0825.

Exchange rate of manat against USD on USD/AZN_TOD instrument remained unchanged at AZN 0.7830. Average exchange rate of national currency against USD made AZN 0.7840 in April.

In the interbank credit market functioning in the framework of BEST, BakiBOR index counted in line with requests made by market makers constituted 10.37% in manats and 10.71% in USD on 90-day instrument.
