Mixed dynamics were observed across major indices during the trading session in global stock markets on April 24, APA-Economics reports.
In the US stock markets, the Dow Jones index decreased by 0.16% or 79.61 points to 49,230.71 points. The S&P 500 index increased by 0.80% or 56.68 points to 7,165.08 points, while the Nasdaq index rose by 1.63% or 398.10 points to 24,836.60 points.
In European markets, declines were mainly recorded. The FTSE 100 index fell by 0.75% or 77.93 points to 10,379.08 points, the DAX index decreased by 0.11% or 26.47 points to 24,128.98 points. At the same time, the Euro Stoxx 50 index dropped by 0.19% or 11.25 points to 5,883.48 points, while the CAC 40 index declined by 0.84% or 69.50 points to 8,157.82 points.
In Asian markets, growth prevailed. The Nikkei index increased by 0.97% or 575.95 points to 59,716.18 points, while the Hang Seng index rose by 0.24% or 62.87 points to 25,978.07 points.
