Major global stock market indices posted mixed results in the final trading session of the week, APA-Economics reports.

While the main indices in the United States and Europe mostly advanced, declines prevailed across most Asian markets.

In the United States, the Dow Jones index rose 0.47% to 45,010.29 points, while the S&P 500 gained 0.07% to reach 6,363.35 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 0.14% to 21,020.02 points.

European markets also maintained positive momentum. The FTSE 100 climbed 0.85% to 9,138.37 points, the DAX gained 0.24% to 24,295.93 points, and the CAC 40 advanced 0.21% to 7,902.25 points.

In the Asia-Pacific region, most major indices traded in negative territory. Japan's Nikkei 225 declined 0.88%, the TOPIX fell 0.85%, South Korea's KOSPI lost 0.18%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped 1.10%. Meanwhile, China's Shanghai Composite rose 0.49%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 edged up 0.06%.

According to analysts, the mixed market performance reflects investors' assessment of US corporate earnings, uncertainty surrounding US trade policy, and a cautious outlook on global economic growth.
