Baku Stock Exchange turnover nears 12 billion manats in first quarter

The total turnover of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 11.9 billion manats in January–March of this year, APA-Economics reports, citing the BSE.

During the reporting period, the number of transactions concluded on the BSE totaled 5,934. The total volume of transactions in government securities amounted to 487.8 million manats, transactions in notes of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CBA) amounted to 285.7 million manats, corporate securities totaled 120.1 million manats, and mortgage bonds reached 207.5 million manats.

The largest turnover on the exchange was recorded in repo operations. Thus, in January–March, the total volume of transactions concluded on these instruments amounted to 10.8 billion manats.
