Itâ€™s been suggested to conduct discussions on Nagorno Karabakh in Azerbaijani Parliament

Baku. Elbrus Seyfulllayev-APA. Milli Majlis held its regular session on Tuesday. APA reports, during the discussion of current issues, member of the Parliament Musa Guliyev suggested granting a status of residential area to the territory of Yeni Iravan in Ganja settled by the Azerbaijani refugees from Armenia. Reminding about the Presidentâ€™s remark in Aghdam about the giving of Iravan to the Armenians, the parliamentarian asked about the works done by Milli Majlis in this field. Speaker Ogtay Asadov said the Parliament Commission was working on this issue and expected to report at one of the Parliamentâ€™s next sessions. Member of the Parliament Fazail Agamali suggested launching a web-site for the Western Azerbaijanis. His counterpart Gurdat Hasanguliyev offered to hold hearings on Nagrono Karabakh. He said the undemocratic regime in Armenia became more aggressive after Serj Sarkisyan came to power. The Armenian side stated that it would be non-constructive. Fazil Gazanfaroglu said that â€œDiplomatâ€ newspaper issued in Azerbaijan is working for PKK terrorist organization. He said the newspaper was publishing materials against Turkey and suggested to take measures for the prevention of this activity. The lawmaker has also raised an issue about the marking of Abulfaz Elchibeyâ€™s 70th anniversary, granting him a status of ex-president and his family with special pension. Ikram Israfilov said tens of local offices of the Musavat Party had been removed from their buildings. â€œIt should be stopped. Pre-election situation in the country should be improvedâ€. Lawmaker Vahid Ahmadov touched upon the rise of minimum living wage and needs criterion.
