Parliament discusses several issues

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov-APA. Parliament has held next meeting today, APA reports.
Parliamentarians commented on prevention of commemorative event on 16th anniversary of Khojaly massacre in Iran at the meeting. MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev stated that Azerbaijan should appeal to Iran for investigation of issue.
“This is disrespect for Azerbaijani people and martyrs by Iran,” he said. MP Ganira Pashayeva noted that the Parliament should react to this issue.
“Despite of apology, Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan has different reaction to this issue. Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan should be called to the Parliament and the issue should be investigated here,” she said.
Ogtay Asadov, Speaker of the Parliament stated that the issue was debated in Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. MP Fazil Gazanfaroglu raised the issue on Assay Chamber To him, Assay Chamber has negative influence on entrepreneurs working in jewellery, and this issue should be regulated by legislation. MP Panah Huseinov protested that draft bill on opposition activity submitted by Musavat parliamentarians to the Parliament had not been discussed. The Speaker noted that there was no need for discussion of the bill.
“It means that Non-party men should approve the bill on non-party men activity,” he said. MP Sayavush Novruzov commenting on developments occurred after presidential elections in Armenia and Russia said that OSCE, EU and other international organizations demonstrated two standards on this issue.
“They make many statements on the developments of Azerbaijan, but now they have no words to say. Many people died in Armenia, but international organizations blink the facts. Azerbaijani delegation to PACE should discuss this issue,” he said.
