Law on the use of flags of international organizations and foreign states in Azerbaijan approved in the first reading of Parliament

â€œAzerbaijani citizens, as well as, foreigners and people having no citizenship in the territory of the Republic should respect flags of international organizations and foreign states. The flags of international organizations and foreign states will be raised on the building of consulates and diplomatic representations in Azerbaijan, at the places determined according to protocol rules during the visit of delegation of international organizations and foreign states, on the ships in Azerbaijani inland waters and ports, as well as at the events on international level in Azerbaijan,â€ he said. Seyidov noted that, the law will also determine the places of flags of international organizations and foreign states. The law will cover limitation of use of foreign states and international organizations in Azerbaijan and responsibility for the violation o the law. MP Siyavush Novruzov noted that â€œEmbassy of Islamic Republic of Iranâ€ is written in front of Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, but â€œAzerbaijanâ€ is not written. He said that it is not right. After discussions, the law was approved in the first reading.
