Speaker of Iranian Islamic Consultative Council visits Azerbaijan

Briefing the journalists in Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the speaker said he will have talks with Azerbaijani officials on extending Iran-Azerbaijan relations, and strengthening relations in all spheres, as well as between parliaments.
The speaker underlined that Iran attaches great importance to the relations with Azerbaijan, and noted the importance of increasing the efforts in this direction. He said this is his second visit to Baku, the first time he came to participate in the commemorative event of Shahriyar.
â€œThis is an official visit at the invitation of speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov,â€ he said.
Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Council has already visited Heydar Aliyevâ€™s grave in Honor Alley and Martyrsâ€™ Alley and is now having meetings.
The speaker is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasaizadeh, speaker Ogtay Asadov and chief of Caucasian Muslims Office Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh.
He will visit Baku State University and the Institute of Manuscripts.
Ghulam Ali Haddad Adel will also visit Gandja in the framework of his two-day visit. /APA/
