MP Aydin Mirzazada proposed Parliament to establish parliamentarian group and make this group to meet with US ambassador to Azerbaijan and express their objection.
MP Igbal Agazada demanded to carry out talks on this issue and recognize PKK as a terrorist organization.
“PKK has already passed Turkish borders. If necessary, Azerbaijani Army should participate in the operations against PKK,” he said.
MP Panah Huseyn also supported proposal on Azerbaijan’s recognizing PKK as a terrorist organization.
“Azerbaijan should demonstrate today that Azerbaijan and Turkey are “one nation, two states,” he said.
“We should take severe measures against expected threats, prepare objection letter and submit it to US Congress and support Turkish Parliament’s decision on carrying out operations in Northern Iraq. I regard that Azerbaijan had to call its ambassador back from US as Turkey did after the decision of Foreign Affairs Committee,” MP Fazil Gazanfaroglu commented.
MP Mubariz Gurbanli said that Azerbaijani Parliament’s commenting on the issue is important.
MP Seyavush Novruzov said that Turkish Parliament is late for 4 years for making decision on carrying out operation in Northern Iraq.
“This decision had to be made 4 years ago,” he said.
Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament stated at the end of the debates that Azerbaijan always supports Turkey.
“It is not the decision of US Congress, but it is a resolution adopted under the influence of Armenian lobby of one committee of the Congress. Congressmen have already started to refuse supporting resolution. I regard that concrete measures should be taken on this issue. Azerbaijani Parliament takes measures on it,” he said. /APA/
