Samad Seyidov: Thomas Hammerbergâ€™s visit is important in terms of Azerbaijan-Council of Europe relations

Council of Europe (COE) Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammerbergâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan is important for our country and for developing relations between Azerbaijan and COE, head of Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov told the APA. He stated that he met with the Commissioner in Strasbourg.
Mr. Seyidov saying that Mr. Hammerberg will visit Baku from September 3 till 8 stated that visit program has not yet been asserted.
â€œCouncil of Europe senior officials usually have meetings with Azerbaijani senior officials, parliamentarians, NGOs representatives, opposition leaders, rights defenders,â€ he said.
Mr. Hammerberg will prepare a report on the results of the visit and submit to the Committee of Ministers. /APA/
