Ambassador: Gabala radar issue can be discussed during Iranian President’s visit to Azerbaijan

The Ambassador did not rule out discussing the question related to Gabala radar station during Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Azerbaijan. The diplomat said his country offers opening bus routes between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Azerbaijan, “But first of all, Azerbaijan is to solve problems regarding simplification of visa regimes for this.”
The Ambassador added that Azerbaijani and Iranian Presidents will also discuss issues related to the status of the Caspian Sea.
“A summit on this issue is planned. Relevant step are being taken regarding the status of the Caspian Sea,” Mr.Zare said.
Iranian Ambassador reiterating that Iran is committed to recognize territorial integrity of Azerbaijan stressed the importance of withdrawal from the occupied territories, bringing refugees back to their places. The Ambassador, however, refused to answer the question on Iran-Armenia relations. He said only “if I am told to visit Garabagh, I would not. Because, it has been occupied.” /APA
