Rene van der Linden welcomes the program on fighting violence against women in Azerbaijan

Carrying out a program on fighting violence against women in Azerbaijan was stressed during the meeting with the heads of the national delegations chaired by Rene van der Linden, President of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. The head of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov briefed APAâ€™s correspondent. According to his words, van der Linden recommended other countries to follow Azerbaijan in carrying out this program. â€œThis is a very important event itself. We focus on problems at the Council of Europe so much that sometimes forget activities implemented by Azerbaijan. Good level of religious tolerance, organizing of international relations on world standards were considered as a positive step.â€/APA/
