Nagorno Karabakh Subcommittee not to meet in PACE session
“My report was listened in the corresponding committee and approved. The report was recommended for debate at autumn session of PACE. The Committee will hold a debate to learn the opinions of the Assembly members before the plenary sessions at the autumn session,†she said. The parliamentarian said IOM Secretary General Mr. McKinley will also attend the debates during the fall session.
Ms.Hajiyeva said she serves as rapporteur from PACE human rights and legal committee for the case of former defense minister of Moldova Valeri Passat added that she will soon visit Moldova regarding that.
The MP touching on the activity of the Azerbaijani delegation at PACE summer session said her colleagues participated in the debates at different committees.
“We want to particularly attach importance to two important issues: intereligous and intercultural relations, and the status of long-time refugees in South-Eastern Europe,†she reported.
Azerbaijani delegation member also said there is less likelihood that the meeting of the subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh will be held during this session.
“Yesterday I talked to the Subcommittee chairman Lord Rassel-Johnston and he told as the composition of the Armenian delegation has changed, the subcommittee will most probably not sit in the framework of this session. I think the subcommittee will not hold debates until the Armenian delegation is fully composed,†she concluded. /APA/
