Azerbaijani MPs concerned over NATO debates on religious situation in Azerbaijan
Ziyafat Asgarov protested against criticism of Haji Allahshukur Pashazada stressing his role in the keeping religious tolerance. The meeting debated the situation in Afghanistan and stressed the threat of cultivating narcotics for world. Siyavush Novruzov said Nagorno Karabakh is uncontrolled territory and staging post for narcotics which passed to Europe. So, MP said the frozen conflicts should find solutions.
Gudrat Hasanguliyev said lord Choplick spoke on the protection of critical infrastructures in the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security. Gudrat Hasanguliyev said NATO and world states pay attention to the protection of infrastructures. “As to the protection of infrastructures Azerbaijan supplies Europe with gas and oil. So, NATO should be interested in the ensuring security of oil pipelines. The frozen conflicts are potential risk for security of pipelines. Some states do not want alternative gas and oil pipelines. So, these conflicts should revive and destruct infrastructures. In this context, I stressed the importance of security of regionsâ€.
Gudrat Hasanguliyev said member of Georgian Delegation said the tensions are intensified in result of explosions of gas pipelines in his country.†But he said nothing about who helped Georgia to solve the problem. I protested itâ€.
Gudrat Hasanguliyev said issues raised by the Azerbaijani Delegation were taken into consideration by reporters. /APA/
