Baku. Zumrud Pashayeva – APA. Paris is hosting the conference for peace and security in Iraq, with participation of the State of Kuwait and 19 other countries, with aim of rallying further support for an international alliance against "the terrorist groups," particularly the ISIL.

Iraqi President Fouad Massoum opened a conference in Paris and said that his country faced the most horrific terrorist group of the history. Massoum said the ISIL was "a terrorist movement which is criminal and its victims are from all ethnic and religious groups." He said the new "unity government" in Iraq was "seeking the will to fight against terrorists." Massoum also said it was "not necessary" for Egypt, UAE, or Saudi Arabia to take part in any airstrikes against the Takfiris.

In his opening remarks, the French leader recalled the brutality of the extremists operating in Syria and in northern Iraq, calling the militants "terrorists who attack the weak, women and children and minorities. Hollande called for united international action to tackle the threat from Islamic State militants. Hollande said Monday there is "no time to lose".
