Tehran. Suleyman Farzaliyev – APA. “As part of the judicial agreements between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the two neighboring countries have exchanged prisoners”, - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari announced on Saturday, APA reports.
According to him, six Iranian nationals imprisoned in neighboring Azerbaijan Republic have been transferred to Iran, and four Azerbaijani prisoners have also been extradited to their country.
The prisoner swap was carried out thanks to the efforts made by the foreign ministries of both country and Iranian embassy in Baku, Jaberi Ansari added.
