Baku-APA. A quake measured at 5.2 magnitude jolted off Japan's Fukushima Prefecture at around 10:31 p.m. local time Wednesday, around 45 minutes after a 5.0-magnitude quake hitting the same area, according to Japan's broadcaster NHK, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Both quakes triggered no tsunami alerts and there were no immediate reports on injuries and damage, said the report.
The 5.2 magnitude trembler was registered at level 4 on Japan's seismic scale of 7 in parts of Fukushima, with slight tremor was felt in Tokyo.
A devastating 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit off the prefecture in March 2011 and triggered world's worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl disaster due to a meltdown of reactors in Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
