To prevent a "Türkiye without Terrorism" we must be very careful against provocations and disinformation from various circles, said Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the "Memory, Justice and Future" panel organized by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration on the anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, APA's correspondent dispatched to Ankara reports.
The Turkish Vice President said that the FETO terrorist organization has large networks abroad, and the struggle to eliminate these networks will continue: "Could we talk about a 'Türkiye without Terrorism' in an environment where the FETO terrorist organization is present? We are trying to remove terror from our country's agenda. We want to spend our energy on a bigger, stronger Türkiye. To achieve a ‘Türkiye without Terrorism,’ we must be very vigilant against the provocations and disinformation from various circles. We must be very careful on the path to a 'Türkiye without Terrorism'. The struggle of July 15 plays a very important role in building our future and the ‘Türkiye of the century.’ We are building 'Türkiye of the century'. This means a great and strong Türkiye. In this regard, it is very important for us to strengthen the internal front. We must be sensitive to those who try to divide us. The spirit of July 15 gives us great strength, and with this strength, we are determined to build "Türkiye of the century".
Cevdet Yılmaz noted that it is necessary to fight against cases of abuse of religion: "The FETO terrorist organization was trying to abuse religion."
Cevdet Yılmaz also called for a new Constitution.
The Turkish vice president said that Türkiye should now say goodbye to the constitutions prepared under the influence of foreign circles after the coups: "Türkiye needs a new constitution. This is not possible with the coming together of one party, or even several parties; we must create a new Constitution together. With the new Constitution, Türkiye will be more democratic. We should spare no efforts on this path, both in power and in opposition."
