Türkiye and Georgia play a key role in bringing the energy resources of the Caspian Sea to the world market, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, APA's Istanbul correspondent.
He noted that the two countries have been contributing to energy security for many years with the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum natural gas pipeline.
H. Fidan also emphasized that his country continues its strong cooperation with the new Georgian government.
The Turkish minister added that the Middle Corridor is of particular importance: "In this regard, we attach great importance to the full operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which is the main pillar of the Middle Corridor."
