Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus, Marco wrote on X platform.
"Today in Munich, I met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. We discussed the many interests and objectives our countries share and ways we can strengthen U.S.-Türkiye relations to address security threats, including through the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, the evolving situation in Syria, and the conflicts in the South Caucasus and between Russia and Ukraine," reads the post.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed the situation in Syria and Gaza, among other issues, diplomatic sources said, APA reports citing Turkish media.
During their first face-to-face meeting, which came on the margins of the 61st Munich Security Conference, Fidan shared Türkiye's views on the steps that countries in the region could take in the fight against ISIS terror group.
Fidan emphasized the importance of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and said the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must be resolved to establish regional peace.
