The European Union membership negotiations are in a frozen state, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan said during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
Hakan Fidan noted that this is related to the Union's reluctance to accept a large Muslim country as a member.
He emphasized that BRICS, on the other hand, is a union formed from all religions and cultures.
