Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said on Tuesday that there are "no signs" that Israel has "any strategic objectives" leaning towards potential de-escalation of tensions in the region, APA reports citing TeleTrader.
"We need to have a ceasefire immediately," the Saudi foreign minister stressed at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, adding that it is crucial to "set the ground" for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. "Continuing to see sufferings in Gaza is likely to lead to continuing cycles of escalation," the foreign minister stressed.
The foreign minister expressed Riyadh's "incredible concern" for regional security and navigation in the Red Sea but added that it is crucial to resolve the war in Gaza which is affecting all nations in the Middle East.
