"The disbandment of the PKK following a call from Imrali marks a significant step toward achieving a Türkiye free of terrorism," said ruling AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik, APA reports.
Çelik stated that if terrorism is fully eliminated, it will signal the beginning of a new era.
According to him, the process will be closely monitored by state entities: “This process will be rigorously followed by our state bodies on the ground. Future developments will be presented to our President.”
Notably, the PKK announced its decision to dissolve itself earlier today.
