Qatar to receive Iranian expert team over captured pilots

Iran has warned about the deteriorating health condition of Iranian pilots being held in Qatar, General Mohammad Baqerzadeh, head of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff’s Committee for the Search for the Missing said, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

He called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to send an air ambulance to transfer wounded and sick prisoners to Iran as soon as possible.

The general welcomed the Qatari government’s decision to receive an Iranian expert team and stressed the importance of Doha’s cooperation in accelerating the medical examination of the Iranian prisoners.

He said the location where the prisoners are being held on the water does not provide suitable conditions for protecting their health.

Baqerzadeh called on the Qatari government to transfer the Iranian prisoners to land and to a properly equipped hospital as soon as possible.
