Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Friday, during which they discussed how to resume the negotiations concerning the Strait of Hormuz, APA reports citing Oman News Agency.
According to the Omani state news outlet, the two ministers talked about the latest developments in the critical Middle Eastern waterway, underlining the need for "continuing talks to reach practical understandings that support the resumption of freedom of navigation, its smooth flow, and the security and stability of the region." They also discussed the "appropriate conditions" that need to be met in order for the dialogue and negotiations to continue.
