One of them was 22 and the other was 26 years old. The identities of prisoners were not revealed. They were executed in Mashad's Vakilabad Prison on April 24, as Iranian Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence issued by the lower court.
Amnesty International reported that 314 persons were executed in Iran in 2012. However, Iranian human rights organizations reported that 580 people were hanged in Iran which stands second after China in Prisoner Execution List.
20 people were executed last week, 9 of them in Shiraz, 4 in Kerman, 4 in Mashad, 2 in Karaj, and 1 in Zarand. 6 of executions were carried out before the public eye and 14 in prisons. 4 people, two of them women were hanged in Dezful prison, 3 in the prison of Bam.
