Putin supports resumption of all-party talks in Lebanon

Baku-APA. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Friday his support to the resumption of the all-party talks in Lebanon and to the latter's dissociation policy to maintain stability, APA rpoerts quoting Xinhua.

Putin's remarks came in a letter to his Lebanese counterpart Michel Suleiman. Visiting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov handed the letter to Suleiman.

The Lebanese authorities have been following the dissociation policy in order not to meddle in the Syrian affairs to safeguard the national unity.

During his meeting with Suleiman, Bogdanov also called on the Lebanese officials to cooperate with the president's efforts to preserve the civil peace.

For his part, Suleiman urged Russia to help Lebanon in resolving the crisis caused by the large influx of Syrian refugees.

Lebanon hosts the largest number of Syrian refugees in the region, which exceeds 428,000, according to the UN report last week.
