Baku-APA. The UN nuclear watch dog on Monday hinted that the structured approach should no be an excuse for Iran to block access to parchin site, and demands full access to the site, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"In 2005, the IAEA had an access to the site parchin, at that time there is no document, so why can not Iran dose the same to give us access to parchin this time," Yukiya Amano, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), told a press conference.
He added that opening access to parchin dose not mean only access to the site, but also including access to the information and people related to parchin.
The head of the Vienna based agency also stressed in his statement to the member states in the Board of Governor meeting that Iran should grant access to the site, wether or not an agreement is reached over the structured approach.
Iran has been insisting that Tehran would open access to parchin site, only if both sides clinch a deal over the structured approach, a nuclear safeguard document, conducting nuclear inspect over the disputed Iran's atomic plan.
However, IAEA failed to strike a deal in the past months with Tehran over the document. Therefore, logically, the UN nuclear inspectors are not granted access to the site.
