Baku-APA. At least six armed men were killed Saturday while a booby-trapping car exploded in the Syrian capital Damascus' district of Tadamun, APA reports.
The report gave no further details on civilians casualties in Tadamun which has emerged as a scene of intense clashes between the government troops and armed rebels.
Blasts in Damascus have become daily occurrences, as the armed radical rebels have seemingly resorted to such tactics to overstretch the Syrian troops as part of the war of attrition which they have waged against the Syrian administration.
Also on Saturday, another explosive-laden car went off in the evening in Ush al-Warwar suburb of Damascus, leaving unspecified number of injuries, local media said.
The Syrian army has been carrying out wide-scale operations in the suburbs of Damascus, most notably on the highway connecting the capital with the country's international airport.
The Syrian media said the army flushed out the rebels from vicinity of the airports, as the Information Ministry said in a statement Saturday that the road to the airport is secured and the airport is functioning normally.
