Baku-APA. At least four people were killed and 11 others including four policemen were injured in three separate attacks in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Monday, local media and police said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
In the first incident, which happened at about 3:30 p.m. (local time), a bomb went off near a cigarette shop in Khurram Abad area, located in the west of Karachi, the capital city of the country's southern Sindh province.
Police said that the blast, which was triggered off by a remote controlled device, left two people killed and seven others injured.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Shortly after the attack, two security guards were gunned down by an alleged dacoit who wanted to rob a bank located in Western Landhi area, at about 4:00 p.m. (local time).
Police conducted a search operation in the nearby area and arrested the robber.
In the third attack, four policemen were injured when some unknown people coming on motorbikes opened fire at them in the city's Civil Hospital.
It was later revealed that the attackers were the accomplices of the dacoit who was arrested by police in bank robbery case.
The attackers succeeded to release their accomplice from the police custody and fled the scene.
