Baku-APA. The number of children killed in a fire at a Syrian refugee camp in southern Turkey has reached four, after two of the injured lost their lives on Friday, Turkish private Dogan news agency reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The fire, engulfed a tent in the Telhamut refugee camp near the town of Ceylapinar in Sanliurfa province, injured five children late Saturday, said the report, adding that the siblings were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Two of the injured children died Sunday of severe burns, and another two died Friday morning, according to the report.
One of the children is still under treatment in Malatya province of Turkey, it said.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Telhamut refugee camp Sunday.
Turkey hosts more than 145,000 Syrian refugees fleeing from the clashes in their country. In July, two Syrian refugees were killed in a similar fire at another camp in Turkey.
