Baku-APA. At least 25 armed men were killed on Monday while booby-trapping a car in the Syrian capital Damascus' suburb of Tadamun, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Syria's state news agency said that too many armed men were killed in the car bomb blast in Tadamun while trying to rig the car with explosives, while the Top News network place the death toll among the armed men at 25.

Another car bomb was detonated earlier in the day in the northern province of Aleppo, causing injures, according to local media.

Sources, meanwhile, said the Aleppo blast took place close to a military checkpoint near al-Nairab airport, causing undisclosed number of injures.

Meanwhile, SANA said that military operations have continued against the terrorists of the al-Qaida-linked Jabhat al-Nusra in the towns and villages of Damascus' suburbs.

Several "terrorists" have been killed at Damascus' suburb of Daraya and three cars equipped with heavy machineguns have been destroyed at Maraba, said SANA.

Separately, a source at the Electricity Ministry has indicated that the increase in the hours of outage in southern Damascus and parts of its outskirts was due to the damage of one of the high tension lines that feeds those areas by terrorist groups, adding that maintenance workshops are now working to repair the damage.
