Baku-APA. An armed group in Libya attacked Thursday a police vehicle which was transferring prisoners, causing one dead and several seriously wounded, Justice Minister Salah Marghani told Xinhua, APA reports.
Using three cars, the armed group attacked the police vehicle and another patrol car, and then kidnapped a prisoner, the minister said.
The police were transferring the prisoners to the Reform and Rehabilitation Institution in Tajura area, some 15 km east of the capital Tripoli.
Marghani condemned this "criminal" attack, adding that the Justice Ministry has taken necessary measures to identify the perpetrators and the militia.
