A long-term fratricidal war may occur in the region, Director of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) İbrahim Kalın said during his speech at the “STRATCOM” summit held in Istanbul, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
He stated that the war between the US–Israel and Iran could create the risk of a prolonged fratricidal war among Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Persians.
The MIT Director noted that along with this major war, a serious flame of discord is also being ignited in the region.
He added that Türkiye’s main efforts are currently focused on stopping this war as soon as possible:
“This war also increases the risk of serious discord in the region. Its consequences are not limited only to Iran’s nuclear potential; more dangerously, it could create the risk of a long-term fratricidal war among the main peoples of the region—Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Persians,” İbrahim Kalın said.
