Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the four-day truce in Gaza for another two days, mediator Qatar says, APA reports citing BBC.
The Gulf state provided no further details, but Israel had offered a day's pause in the fighting for every 10 additional Israeli hostages freed.
A Palestinian source also told the BBC that the truce had been extended.
A top aid to Egyptian President Diaa Rashwan announced that Cairo and Doha are very close to securing a two-day extension to the ongoing truce between Israel and Hamas, APA reports citing The Times of Israel.
The truce extension would see 10 Israeli hostages and 30 Palestinian prisoners released both tomorrow and Wednesday, Diaa Rashwan says, adding that 11 Israeli hostages will also be released later today.
