Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has confirmed that technical talks within the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum began in Switzerland today, Baghaei stated during an interview with IRNA, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that the talks are being held as a continuation of the high-level consultations between the Iranian and U.S. delegations in Bürgenstock on Sunday with the participation of Pakistan and Qatar.
He added that, according to the joint statement of the mediators, the technical working groups will focus on the nuclear issue, sanctions, monitoring, and dispute resolution, and that the talks will continue in Switzerland until the end of the week.

Talks between U.S. and Iranian expert groups begin in Switzerland today, Mehr reports.
According to the report, the negotiations will cover the implementation mechanisms of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries, as well as issues related to the establishment of technical groups.
Iran's expert group is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.
