Iran has blacklisted another 11 vessels for allegedly violating rules while attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, bringing the total number of blacklisted ships to 56, APA reports.

The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), established by Iran to oversee passages through the Strait of Hormuz, announced the decision.

According to the authority, vessels that violate the regulations could face fines, detention or seizure during future passages.

It also warned that other vessels cooperating with blacklisted ships could themselves be added to the list.

Following the latest update, the blacklist includes LNG, LPG and crude oil tankers linked to UAE-based ADNOC Logistics, its subsidiary Navig8, and Saudi Arabia’s Bahri.

Two China-linked vessels are also reportedly among the ships included on the blacklist.
