Georgia has adopted long-term strategy to become a carbon neutral country - Prime Minister

Georgia joins the COP28 energy efficiency pledge. In the fight against climate change, Georgia is taking concrete steps, allocates $100 million from the state budget, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said as he delivered a speech at the United Nations Climate Change Conference, APA reports.

He noted that the government is building infrastructure that emits less carbon, and is promoting the transition to green energy.

Prime Minister Garibashvili added that the government has adopted a long-term strategy to make the country a carbon neutral country by 2050.

The Prime Minister of Georgia announced that Georgia is joining the COP28 energy efficiency pledge.
