Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a post on the social media platform X, has announced that significant progress was achieved on several key issues during discussions held in the Swiss resort town of Bürgenstock, thanks to mediation efforts by Qatar and Pakistan.
“Thanks to the tireless mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar, substantial progress has been made toward ending the war in Lebanon. Tariffs imposed on oil and petrochemical exports have been lifted, the blockade has been removed, a portion of frozen assets has been unfrozen, and a large-scale program for Iran’s reconstruction and development has been launched,” the minister stated.
Araghchi did not provide further details regarding the implementation timeline of the measures but emphasized the role played by the two mediating countries in advancing the negotiations.
